Data controller

What we collect

From the contact form: your name, email address, chosen session, preferred date, and the message you write. If you book, we also keep the confirmation emails, the payment reference you use on a bank transfer, and attendance notes such as “attended” or “rescheduled.” If you send a journal, we hold the pages, our margin notes, and the letter we return. We do not ask for resident registration numbers, account numbers, or broker login details. Journals that contain them are returned unread.

Server or host logs may briefly hold an IP address and the page requested, as part of ordinary hosting. The consent choice you make on the cookie banner is stored in your browser under the local storage key synapkeystone-consent and, when the browser allows it, in a first-party cookie named sk_consent.

Why we use it

We use the form details to reply, to prepare the correct chart pack, and to keep a record of the booking. We use journal pages only to write the review you asked for. We use payment references to match a transfer to a student. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising audiences.

Retention

Booking emails and payment references are kept for five years, which matches the period we need for tax and dispute records in Korea. Journal pages and review letters are kept only until they have been returned to you, plus a scan of the letter for one year in case you ask us to resend it. Contact messages that never become a booking are deleted after twelve months. Consent records stay in your own browser until you clear them; we do not keep a separate server copy of that choice.

Your rights

Under the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea you may ask what we hold, ask for a correction, ask for deletion where the law allows, and ask us to stop using information for a purpose you withdraw. Some records must stay for the retention periods above even after a deletion request, for example a paid invoice. Send requests to info@synapkeystone.click. We answer within ten business days. You may also contact the Personal Information Protection Commission if you believe a request was handled improperly.

International transfers

The studio itself stores booking mail and scans in Korea. Two ordinary website features can involve a transfer outside Korea. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts; requesting those files can send your IP address and browser details to Google. If our website host processes a page request on infrastructure outside Korea, the host’s log of that request may sit outside Korea for the host’s usual log period. We do not move journal contents or booking files to those services. The cookie page describes the font request in more detail and links back here.

Children

Sessions are arranged with adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has written to the studio, email us and we will delete the message.
